Sammy's 4th Birthday!

Sammy's 4th birthday was on a Saturday this year...Saturday, January 19th. I have ordered some custom petticoats to have a fashion show for her birthday party and they did not arrive in time. So we decided to make her 4th birthday extra special and have a "Sammy Day". Aunt DeAnn came in for the fun weekend. Our family tradition is a birthday balloon! The kids get a special balloon on the morning of their birthday! Sammy got a special princess balloon that daddy picked out for her. We started the day off with lunch at Jason's Deli and then headed to the Frisco Mall for some ice skating. The kids have never been ice skating and were VERY excited about going. The kids did a fantastic job ice skating!! Austin skated by himself and did really well!! Sammy skated with an adult and did a little skating on her own. We were all impressed that she could hold her own!! Lauren had to have someone with her at all times but she did a great job keeping herself up on her skates! I didn't know this until we got to the skating rink, but this was Aunt DeAnn's first time to go ice skating too!! She did a great job! She only fell once or twice...that's good!We all had so much fun ice skating together! We skated for two hours! The kids spent the entire time on the ice and they did not want to leave!! Lauren kept wanting to go back out. She just LOVED it!! Kristina and Megan met us at the ice skating rink and enjoyed the fun with us!After we went ice skating, we took Sammy to Claire's to get her ears peirced. Sammy was very excited! She really had no idea what was going to happen. Daddy and I told her that she would have pretty earrings in her ears. When it was time, she sat up in the chair and with a big smile on her face, she told everyone that she was getting her ears peirced. The ladys at Claire's were so sweet. They gave Sammy a teddy bear to hold onto and peirced both ears at the same time. Sammy started to have an unsure look on her face when the girls held the peircing guns to her ears.
As soon as the guns went POP Sammy started to let out a whimper.
She then said, "I don't want to get my ears peirced!" I repiled "Baby it is over. Your ears are peirced now." It took her a bit to calm down and quit crying but she sure liked her new earrings!!After we were done getting Sammy's ears peirced, we went to Gatti Town for some pizza and games with family and a few friends. Honey, Sugar, Keith, Christy, Stephanie, Elizabeth and Emmye came for the fun.

We had a birthday cake for Sammy!

Sammy got a kick out of all of us singing Happy Birthday to her!The funny part was Russell and I put the trick candles on Sammy's cake. You can hardly blow them out because they keep relighting! Austin tried to help Sammy blow them out. All of the kids laughed and laughed!!

Sammy opened a few presents after we ate cake. Russell and I got her a Bella Dance Studio. She was very excited. The funny thing is that I got it at Ross and when we got home we realized that it came with a VHS tape! I can't remember that last time I bought something that came with a VHS tape! Princess stickers from Elizabeth and Emmye. You know Sammy liked those!! After pizza and cake, the kids played games. Austin had fun on the pirate ship.Lauren loves to play skeeball and Aunt DeAnn is a great partner!!Sammy loves to play skeeball too!Jenna is so wonderful! She made sure that Sammy had her birthday present just in time for the big day! She also sent a little something special for Austin and Lauren...kites!! Boy, were they excited to get those!!

She sent Sammy some dress-up jewelry, a matching gold belt, some flashy shoes the light up and a fun gold, glittery purse!!Glamour Girl!!
